Adam Garelick for Offset
Adam has been photographing New York City since 2002 and focuses on nighttime cityscapes using black and white film. He views Manhattan as quieter and more subdued late at night. He believes that during these hours one can experience near-solitude in places like along 5th Avenue, within Central Park, or by the Brooklyn Bridge. He sees the city as revealing itself during these midnight hours, and finds it both interesting and contradictory. These moments are invaluable to him both as a resident and photographer.
